“Piano Quintet No.1 (2019)”

A Piano Quintet in one, fast movement. It is in Arch form (A-B-C-D-C'-B'-A'). The writing is highly canonic and contrapuntal. The harmony is influenced mainly by Bartok with some other minor influences from jazz and rock. I composed it primarily during my freshman year at New England Conservatory and the summer following it.
